Sunday Morning Preview - February 2, 2014

This Sunday morning at Dakota we will be getting back to our walk through the Book of Ephesians with a look at appropriate and inappropriate conduct for Christians as laid out by the apostle Paul in Ephesians 4:3-5:21

Does the message of grace mean that Christians are “free” to behave in any way they choose? Much of evangelicalism seems to have reduced the Christian faith to nothing more than a series of rules and regulations, obey them and you are in, get caught ignoring or breaking them and… well you know.

Sexual immorality, drunken debauchery, covetous idolatry, and filthy language; all these and more are on the agenda for discussion and consideration in a sermon entitled; “In the Fellowship of Saints”

I hope you will all join me.

January 26, 2014 at Dakota Community Church

It is that time of year again (already!) - time for DCC’s annual “Sunday Morning Business Meeting”.

For five or six years now at DCC we have held our annual public business meeting on a Sunday morning in order to ensure that the maximum number of congregants are aware of this vitally important part of Church life.

The plan is to take a look at the year that was, hear from several of our Elders on the state of the Church, open the floor for Q&A; and lay out the projected budget for 2014.

Please do not take this as an opportunity to skip church and sleep in. If Dakota is your church family then this is a meeting you should not miss.

Hope to see you all Sunday morning.

Sunday Morning Preview - January 12, 2013

Where does your energy come from in life?
How do you recharge your battery? Do you - or are you always running on empty?
Let's talk about what the Bible says about prayer and it's impact on recharging our lives.
Can't wait to see you all there!

Sunday Morning Preview - January 5, 2014

Have you ever noticed how often good things happen to bad people in this world?

The most devious, conniving, back-stabbing, cheater in the office somehow lands the big promotion, while the honest straight shooter gets stepped over and abused?

Doesn’t it seem that the wicked skip happily through life unencumbered by the weight of conscience, consideration for others, and rules in general? Do you ever feel like Christian character is a punishable offence, like you are always getting the dirty end of the stick simply because you are compelled to “do the right thing”? Does that ever make you crazy?

Please join me this first Sunday of 2014 as we dive into Psalm 73 to address these concerns in a message I have entitled “When the Wicked Prosper.”
