I hope you will join me this Sunday morning
as we turn our attention back to the book of Ephesians, where we will likely be
for the next few months if all goes as planned.
Paul has just finished laying out (In Chapter
2) the former alienation felt by the Gentile nations in their separation from
God and from the chosen nation of Israel. He has made clear that in Christ this
separation has ended and now, just as he prepares to pray for the Ephesian
believers he pauses to reveal his unique authority and calling to do so.
This Sunday morning we will examine Paul’s
heart as he reveals it to us and to the Church at Ephesus in this brief
passage.
What exactly has God made known to Paul? How
has this revelation affected his life? What unique calling has he received and
what does this message mean for the Church in Ephesus and for the Church of
Christ throughout time?
